Guwahati: Badruddin Ajmal, the leader of the All India United Democratic Front (AIDUF), was charged with making a derogatory statement about the party by the Assam Congress today.
In Guwahati last week, the state Congress hosted a meeting of 11 parties to urge all Opposition forces to overthrow the BJP in the general elections in 2024. The AIUDF, drove by scent aristocrat Badruddin Ajmal, was not welcome to the gathering.
In the police protest, Assam Congress pioneer Monojit Mahanta guaranteed that the Dhubri MP’s remarks showed the party in unfortunate light.
“We are encasing here news clippings of Amar Asom, May third issue where his assertions have been distributed. Badruddin Ajmal, MP and President of the AUIDF, has been persistent in his efforts to denigrate our language, culture, and other aspects. and furthermore endeavoring to debilitate the social texture of Assamese society,” the protest letter expressed.
The 73-year-old man has been in trouble before due to his remarks. Prior, Badruddin Ajmal offered disputable remarks against the ladies local area of Assam and the state boss Pastor Himanta Sarma
Last year, Mr Ajmal ignited a column by saying that Muslim men get hitched not long after they achieve the age of 21, while Hindus stay unmarried till the age of 40 to have unlawful relations.
